Sometimes life is difficult and calls upon us to sacrifice mightily. This was not one of those times.
Part of the pre-race activities is the parade honoring our military members. Those of us lucky enough to find out about the opportunity to be part of this were treated to two free tickets to the race. A friend of mine flew up from Houston, and the two of us had a blast roaming the Speedway, taking pics. What follows are the photos I took before the first rain delay. Given that it takes two hours to dry the track (AFTER it finally stops raining), we decided to leave and watch the rest of the race at home later, whenever that may be.
